What West End Lighting collects through this website, why, and who else can see it.
Last updated: September 16, 2026
What this policy covers
This policy explains what information West End Lighting LLC ("West End Lighting", "we", "us") collects when you visit https://www.westendlights.com, why we collect it, and who else can see it. It applies to this website only, not to conversations you have with us in person, by phone or by text outside of it.
We install permanent outdoor lighting. We collect what we need to quote and schedule work, and nothing beyond that.
Information you give us
When you submit the quote form on this site, we receive whatever you type into it. That can include:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address and phone number
- Your property address
- The service you are interested in
- Any project details you choose to describe
We also record which page the form was submitted from, so we know what you were looking at when you reached out. Only the fields marked required have to be filled in. Everything else is optional and only helps us prepare a more accurate quote.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one collects some technical information on its own:
- Analytics data through Google Analytics 4 when a measurement ID is configured: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stayed. This is aggregated usage data. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Standard server and network logs kept by our hosting and content delivery providers, which include IP addresses and are used for security, abuse prevention and uptime.
- Spam-prevention signals from Google reCAPTCHA v3, which loads on the contact form and analyzes browsing behavior to tell humans from bots.
How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Respond to your request, prepare a quote and schedule an on-site design visit
- Contact you about your project by phone, text or email
- Keep records of quotes, work performed and warranty coverage
- Block spam and abusive form submissions
- Understand which pages and services people are looking for, so we can improve the site
We do not sell your information, rent it or hand it to third-party marketers. We do not add you to a newsletter or a text-blast list because you asked for a quote.
Calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number or use a "text us" or "call us" link, you are agreeing that we may call or text you back about your project. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We use your number to talk about your job, not for marketing campaigns, and you can tell us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to a text, or by calling or emailing us at the details below.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and project records as long as we need them for the work, our warranty obligations and our business records. If a request never turns into a project, we keep it only as long as it is useful for following up. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule for our account.
You can ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it for tax, legal or warranty reasons.
Your choices
At any point you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, subject to the records we are required to keep
- Stop contacting you
Email or call us using the details at the bottom of this page and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. Tell us what you are asking for and we will honor it.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted to our backend. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive information (bank details, card numbers, government ID numbers) through a web form. We will never ask you for any of that to prepare a quote.
Children
This site is meant for adults hiring a contractor. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
We may link out to places like Google or a financing partner. Once you follow one of those links, that company's privacy policy governs what happens next, and we have no control over it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be obvious rather than buried, but it is worth a look if you have not read it in a while.
